The Most Common Downsides Of Home Theater Systems

By Musa Mustafa

The home theater system has, without a doubt, been a major part of the electronic industry for quite a while.Their popularity can be directly attributed to the fact that they can make life very easy for people.Because of this, people can enjoy watching their favorite films in the comfort of their home without having to go to a cinema.

Moreover, a good home theater system can turn even the most basic and mundane of shows or movies into interesting and enjoyable affairs. For instance, a lot of people will add enjoyment to their sports watching experience by utilizing their home theater system. The surround sound quality and greater sound clarity that home theater systems offer can make crucial matches much more immersive for viewers.

Over the years, since their introduction throughout the world, home theater systems have evolved greatly. The modern day home theater systems are marvels of technology even though the first variants were quite simple.

This evolution is the direct result of more cutthroat competition amongst the different manufacturers. In order to get ahead of competition, manufacturers made more efforts to improve their products. What is surprising, however, is that a lot of home theater systems these days have the same limitations.

Although most home theater systems today offer significant improvements in sound quality, they fail to meet the mark in terms of connectivity and networking.Consider the new HT-E4500 Samsung HTIB home theater.Owing to its great sound quality and compact nature, this home theater system is very popular. In fact, the highlight of this home theater system is its sound clarity.

Nevertheless, even this device suffers when it comes to connectivity issues. This home theater system does not have any HDMI ports and exhibits major issues with its networking functions. The networking functions of this device are extremely faulty and will have the owner updating and rebooting the system regularly during a week.

The story is similar in the case of the Samsung HT-E350 HTIB Home Theater System which is reportedly one of the best in its price range when it comes to sound quality. This home theater system's features and performance are flawless except for when it comes to connecting it to a television. This home theater system has an HDMI output but does not have an HDMI input and therefore disqualifies many televisions from connecting to it.This means that many owners with televisions that require such configurations would find themselves unable to use this device properly.

Another example of this trend is the Pyle Home tower speaker system PHIT84BK.This is a device which excels in its primary function i.e. giving great sound quality in conjunction with various devices.Unfortunately, its phone docking system, according to many owners of this device, starts showing problems too soon. This is another example of a home theater system not performing well within the connectivity area.

As is evident, the trend in the home theater systems market is that manufacturers do not focus on the connectivity and networking side of their products. The focus, instead, is on the primary functions of the devices which is the sound quality in terms of clarity and sustainability.
